Summary
The SNC Nonprofit Grant Writer is responsible for writing and packaging grant proposals for foundations, corporate funders, and trusts on behalf of nonprofit organizations. The ideal team member operates with a growth mindset, takes initiative, and is able to clearly synthesize information in a compelling way. SNC realizes that our team members have a life outside of work, and we encourage work/life balance. The amount of hours worked per week can be flexible and individualized to the qualified candidate, and team members work autonomously, with the expectation that deadlines and goals are met.
Key Responsibilities

Gain a complete understanding of the nonprofit organization(s) assigned, performing comprehensive research into each, as provided.

Perform diligent research into grant-making organizations to ensure alignment.

Write grant applications/reports that display high quality technical ability (accurate grammar and syntax) and simultaneous compelling storytelling ability.

Work closely with the SNC CEO to respond to requests for special reports, collaterals, and other materials with a strategic perspective.

Represent SNC if called upon during collaborative meetings.
Qualifications
-
Preferred knowledge of and familiarity with the local nonprofit sector.

Nonprofit work experience is a plus, preferably on the program and/or fundraising side.
